Compositive Model

Life Skills

Life skills include daily living and self-care skills, responsibility and accountability, vocational skills, and financial literacy and behaviors.

Life skills are the skills that enable us to succeed in the environments we live in. These include behavioral, cognitive, interpersonal, and intrapersonal skills.

Youth who participate in life skills programs demonstrate positive benefits as a result of their participation. Beneficial outcomes are seen for at-risk youth, youth with cognitive/intellectual developmental disabilities, and youth with physical disabilities.
