What we like:
The book's goals - To provide easy activities and projects to help develop mathematical, artistic and literary skills. Intended Audience - This books is intended for parents, teachers and caregivers who are seeking activities to help the development of their children.
What could be better:
Very heavily based on mathematical, literacy and artistic skills. Provides superficial activities and does not provide in-depth analysis of the skills being developed.
Resource Rating:
Have you ever stepped back to watch what really goes on when your children play? As psychologist Lawrence J. Cohen points out, play is children’s way of exploring the world, communicating deep feelings, getting close to those they care about, working through stressful situations, and simply blowing off steam. That’s why “playful parenting” is so important and so successful in building strong, close bonds between parents and children.
