The “why, what, and who” of a risky situation. Teach your child this simple checklist of questions she can use when faced with a “risky” or uncertain situation.  

First, why am I doing this? Is it because I want to do this or is because my friends want to do this?

Second, what could happen if I do this? What could go wrong?

Third, who is impacted by what I do? Does this hurt the people I care about?
