Help your child plan a budget for a hypothetical trip. It can be a day-trip or a vacation, though starting small and simple is recommended. Using the internet and other resources, help your child find prices for transportation, lodging, food, and activities (e.g., museum entrance fees). Discuss total costs, where that money might come from. How long might it take your family to save for this trip? What other things (e.g. new games or toys) might your child give up to make saving for this trip possible?
